Where to eat in Montmartre: best restaurants in the 18th – Paris

While the government had to restrict activities to prevent the coronavirus situation, it still possible to go to Restaurants in Paris, at least until 10pm (starting from Monday 28th September, for two weeks). More than ever, it is very important to support local businesses and restaurants, and this is why we have selected our favorite addresses in Montmartre.

Delicious tartares at Alix et Mika, rue Lamarck

When the restaurant opens, only few meters from our place, it took us quite a while to finally be able to get a table. It has been more than 2 years we regularly go there, and we have even friended the boss! The perfect order there? A cheese croquette to start, a beef tartare “Sud Ouest” with some amazing homemade french fries and the choco-noisette tiramisu as dessert. And if you are more of a fish person, or even a vegetarian, you will find many more options there! You really cannot miss it.

Alix et Mika 37 Rue Lamarck, 75018 Paris – Wednesday/Friday 7pm-10:30pm and Saturday and Sunday 12:00pm – 2:30pm and 7pm-10:30pm To book online, click here

Amazing Argentinian meat at Loca

You probably know now that we are big fans of meat. Loca is one of the best place to get delicious meat in Paris, but not only. Starters are definitely a must try (Empanadas duos are delicious), but also the desserts, such as the Volcano chocolat, which is to die for! Do not hesitate to ask recommendations for the wine – the wine selection is excellent.

Loca 29 Rue Lambert, 75018 Paris – Monday-Thursday 8pm-10:30pm, Friday-Saturday 12:00pm-2:00pm and 9pm-10:30pm, Sunday 12:00pm-2pm

Gourmet dinner at Les Inséparables

We found this little gem by chance, while looking for a place open quite late in the evening. They waited us for us and we got a great dinner! The team was very kind and helpful, but most of the all, the products were truly delicious and the menu very original – and short, which is always a good sign. From starters to desserts, everything was succulent. The prices are decent but we would recommend to choose this restaurant for a special evening, such as a birthday or anniversary, it’s definitely the best place around for such occasions!

Les Inséparables12 Rue Francœur, 75018 Paris – Tuesday-Friday 7:30pm-11pm, Saturday 11am-3pm and 7:30pm-11pm and Sunday 11am-3pm
You can book directly on the Fork

Excellent Italian food at Mastino

To find a decent Italian restaurant abroad is never something easy. But we did it! And Mastino is not also good, it’s really amazing Italian cuisine. We are super big truffle fans so we usually go for the pizza Tartufata (and if you are a truffle lover as we are, please try it out!), but to choose from the menu is always super difficult. Prices are really good as well, and a 15 euros menu is available for lunch. They also have a very nice terrasse open during Spring and Summer.

Mastino46 Rue Caulaincourt, 75018 Paris – Tuesday-Friday and Sunday 12:00am-2:30pm and 6:30-10:30pm, Saturday 12pm-3pm and 6:30-11pm.

A typical Parisian brasserie: le Café Francoeur

Nowadays, there are not many brasseries which live up to our expectations. The café Francoeur is an exception, and an institution in Montmartre. From breakfast until the last drinks at night, the team will always welcome you with a big smile. Everything there is good, the plat du jour is always excellent and the prices are not too high either. They also offers brunch on Sunday, and we have always wanted to try!

Café Francoeur129 Rue Caulaincourt, 75018 Paris – Open everyday 6:30 am- 2am. You can book a table for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner on TheFork

French specialities only at the Atelier Ramey

You can eat cuisine from everywhere in the world in Paris, but you should not miss our traditional French cuisine. The Atelier Ramey, a typical Parisian bistrot, has the perfect dégustation menu for that, for 39 euros, quite a reasonable price in Paris! Be aware, all main dishes will include meat.

L’Atelier Ramey – 23 rue Ramey, 75018 – Monday-Sunday 12pm-3pm and 7pm-11pm – More information and online booking here

One of the best pizza in the world at Bijou

Best Italian restaurant in 2017, second best pizza in the world according to an Italian guide – yes, Italian! Bijou never stops convincing. And we love them too, these good pizzas with a thick crust and good Italian products. The only issue? Be ready to wait, or don’t forget to book a table in advance!

Bijou de Gennaro Nasti10 rue Dancourt 75018 – Monday-Sunday 12pm-3pm and 7pm-11pm. More information (and deliveries) here.

As you might have guessed, we are big time food lovers, and food and restaurants is always a big part when we travel. Let us know if you went to Montmartre and had tried a restaurant which is not our list, as we always try to discover our neighbourhood more and more.
