2020 has been a very weird year, many of our big plans got cancelled, and Alexandra has even missed a much awaited wedding of one of her best friend in India… however, we were lucky enough to still be able to travel a little. Mostly in France, during Summer, a quick stop in Italy, and finally, we ending up this very surprising year with two months in Sweden… We have taken our drone almost everywhere we could, and here is some of our favourite drone photos of 2020.
Boat day in Arcachon

Arcachon bay, not far for the Ile aux Oiseaux… for a fabulous getaway weekend, 3 hours from Paris, one hour from Bordeaux.
The pier in Le Moulleau

For the perfect summer break, Arcachon, and especially le Moulleau is the perfect spot for a quiet spot, with good food, beautiful walks and boat tours on a stunning bay.
Labenne beach, Basque Country

We rented a house this summer in the Basque country, in the South of France, with our friends. Our first time in this beautiful region: we have listed our favourite things to do there and the best restaurants of the area.
Walking the dog in Arcachon

Walking the dogs on the beach in the morning… one of the biggest pleasure we have in Arcachon bay.
Autumn in Sweden

Our first time is Sweden, we had the chance to experience Winter there, but also Autumn and its beautiful colors, especially here on the Viken lake, not far from Tiveden National Park.
Foggy morning in Périgord

A foggy morning, shot in Périgord, south of France. Not far from Lascaux.
Siljan lake, Dalarna, Sweden

During our two months in Sweden, we made a stop near Siljan lake, and have discover a folkloric and authentic Swedish area.
Luleå archipelago, few minutes before sunset

During our road trip along the Baltic Sea, we stopped in Luleå for a week. We had not been lucky at all with the weather, expect for this day, with this stunning light, just before sunset.
Snowy Skaulo, Swedish Lapland

We have spent a magical week in Skaulo, only 1 hour from Kiruna and 3 hours from Luleå, in the Swedish Lapland. Our small house was located just few meters from the frozen lake… what a view, every morning!
Polar night in Skaulo, Swedish Lapland

The Polar night is the phenomena where the sun does not show anymore, for a few weeks. At the furthest North latitude, we will not be able to see the sun at all from November 16 to January 25. However, we can still see the sunlight couple of hours per day, that’s how the sky offers us a perpetual sunset.
Abisko Turiststation, Swedish Lapland, Sweden

Located the furthest North in Sweden, Abisko is a small village of Swedish Lapland and is the departure of multiple trails in the National Park, and apparently known as one of the best spot to catch Northern lights.
Let’s face it, we have been quite lucky in 2020, and our thoughts are going to everyone who have been unlucky this year. We wanted to thank you all for reading us, and wish you all a much better 2021, with health, happiness, and of course, lots of travel!
