Our visit to Brittany in July 2019

In summer 2019, an intense heatwave hit France in July. After a few days working in exhausting heat, we decided to escape Paris.

We rented a tiny Fiat 500 with Europcar and drove out to the fresh and close Brittany. With us, we brought our DJI Mavic Pro2 drone to shot video during our one week workation.

We rented a flat in Brest, Brittany largest city on Airbnb. The apartment was very conveniently located in the city center, reasonably priced and perfectly equipped for two people working remotely. We highly recommend it if you visit Brest, you can book it here. Catherine, our host was also very friendly and recommended us many of the places you will watch in our video.

We worked as well from Brittany from Monday to Friday, so the only time we had to film was at the end of the afternoon and during the two week-ends we stayed there. Brest surprised us as being an incredible place to work, full of café and 15 minutes away from some of the most beautiful beaches we ever visited!

The locations shot in our drone video of Brittany

So far, we consider this is our best video shot with the drone! We had lot of time to shot and practice and we are delighted to present it you. We own a Dji Mavic Pro 2 and its technology and film quality are always an incredible surprise.

In the video, the main shot were done in the following locations.

Le Conquet
Le conquet is a small port and coastal city of Brittany. It has beautiful little boats and a pretty lighthouse.

Le conquet has many pleasant little walks, full of ancient houses and is without doubt a very pleasant stop when you are travelling through Brittany.

Cancale

Cancale is a picturesque little coastal city of Brittany. It is extremely famous around the world for its oysters and its sea food restaurant.

The village itself is beautiful and there is a very pleasant path to walk, heading to Pointe du Grouin. From there, you can overview the very famous Mont Saint-Michel and its bay.

Le sentier des douaniers

Very famous in France, “le sentier des douaniers” (also called GR34) is one of the longest trail travelling through Brittany. From Mont-Saint Michel, it heads to Cancale, pass by Saint-Malo and follow the gorgeous cost of Brittany.

During our stay, we had no time to hike the whole “sentier des douaniers”, has it takes several days. We had the chance to walk it around Cancale for one day of beautiful weather and you discover a very small part of it in our video.

Presqu’île de Kermorvan

Near Le Conquet, the Presqu’île de Kermorvan is a protected natural area of Brittany. It includes a small bay, with a lighthouse and some fortifications abandoned since the war. It offers a beautiful scenery and is one of the most perfect place to shot video from a drone.

Brittany was one of our favourite place to work. We added it to our list of the best place to travel to and work remotely.
